From Publisher to DSP: My Journey into AdTech with Adikteev

Written by Elena Bordu, Campaign Manager at Adikteev | Aug 14, 2025 12:04:20 PM

Three years ago, I was deep in the world of gaming and apps working on monetization, user acquisition, and ad strategies from the publisher side.

Back then, I was collaborating with partners like Adikteev and got a glimpse of how things worked from the buy-side. That sparked a curiosity in me: what happens on the other side of the industry? How are performance campaigns really run and optimized? And what could I learn if I took a step closer to the DSP world?

Fast forward to today, and I’m working at Adikteev as a Campaign Manager, doing exactly that. Here’s a bit about how I got here, what I do, and why I love being part of this team.

Why did I join Adikteev?

My career started in the publishing space. First, with ad monetization, then moving into user acquisition. I became increasingly curious about how the performance side of advertising worked. I was already working with Adikteev as a partner and was intrigued by the depth of their tech and approach.

That’s when I realized: to really understand how UA campaigns operate on the DSP side, I needed to go straight to the source. So I joined Adikteev.

What do I do at Adikteev?

As a Campaign Manager, my focus is on monitoring and optimizing campaign performance. Every day, I work with a diverse portfolio of clients in so many different verticals, from gaming to e-commerce. I help adapt strategies to their unique goals and user bases.

It’s a role that blends data, creativity, and client collaboration. No two days are the same, and that’s what keeps it interesting.

What's it like working at Adikteev?

When I’m in the Paris office, it’s always a boost for me. Most of the team is there, and the energy is amazing. It’s fun to be in the same room with people who are passionate and collaborative.

In Barcelona, where I’m based, I work part of the time from a co-working space with a few other colleagues. While I appreciate flexibility, I’m not someone who enjoys being fully remote all the time. I like having a space to connect, share ideas, and stay close to the heart of the app and gaming ecosystem, which is huge in Barcelona. And this actually means that I get to meet some clients in person, here.

Whether it’s learning something new in ad tech, optimizing a campaign, or bouncing ideas off a teammate over coffee, I’m glad I made the move to Adikteev.
